Visit Jamaica

Jamaica, the land of wood and water, is one of the world’s most popular vacation destinations. Our island sports some of the most beautiful beaches and scenic views to be found anywhere. We also have the best parties and food festivals and the friendliest people whose warmth match that of our year-round sunshine. Our hospitality reflects our motto – out of many one people – as we welcome everyone who visits with open arms regardless of race, religion, nationality, etc.

In Jamaica there is always so much to see and many tourists Jamaica Getaway Travels to explore. Our services range from limousine transfers to helicopter transfers to tours of the island. Transfers include transport by bus, limousine or helicopter from the airport to your hotel when you arrive and back when you are ready to leave. Now would be a good time to make reservations for a transfer with us as there is now a sale on our bus and helicopter transfers going to Iberostar Hotel, Tryall Club Resorts and Runaway Bay Hotels. jamaica-get-away-travels-ricks-cafe-negril-2Transfers are also offered to Sunset at The Palms, Grand Lido Braco and Super Clubs Hedonism III.

Now let’s talk about the tours, beaches and food! Some tours take you on adventures like zip lining, hiking or river tubing, some let you see nature by taking you to bird sanctuaries like Rockland Bird Sanctuary, and some to calming waters like our the Milk River Bath. No matter which of these you want to try we can get you there and back. If none of these is your style and you just want to go rafting on the Martha Brae River, tour the historical town of Falmouth or just chill at the Pelican Bar or Scotchie’s just tell us when and we will arrange it.

Speaking of restaurants, everyone knows that Jamaican cuisine is the best in the world! Yes I am a bit biased but as we say in Jamaica ‘if it nuh go suh, it near go suh’ which means that if it is not completely true it’s pretty close to the truth. Anyway, if you are unsure where to start searching for good restaurants just scroll to the bottom of our homepage and take a look at our top 5 restaurants. The list includes restaurants that serve a variety of foods from authentic Jamaican to Mexican. There is also a big difference in the ambience of these restaurants. Some are more upscale (Blue Beats for example is elegant, with moody blue lighting, comfortable couches and lounge chairs to the side and a small patio out back overlooking the harbor) and others (Scotchies, named for Jamaica’s favourite spice for cooking, has a more rustic view).

Now that you’re set for food and fun, let’s move on to the sun. Our beaches are one of our best and most popular assets. They are white and sandy, with clear blue waters that reflect the sunlight like liquid, textured glass. You can lounge on a recliner under an umbrella Doctor’s Cave in Montego Bay or you can go cliff diving at Rick’s Café in Negril. My personal favourite is Aquasol Theme Park on the Hip Strip in Montego Bay because there is fun for everyone. The beach is lined with trees that provide ample shade and lifeguards are always on duty. There are water slides, go carts and even a skating rink for younger children and teenagers and a bar for adults. Aquasol also boasts a restaurant, craft shops and a gym.

It’s apparent that Jamaica has much to offer every member of the family so the next time you decide to pay us a visit ensure that you choose wisely and let Jamaica Getaway Travels show you around.
