Then look no further than the Pelican Bar to get there enjoy a 20-minute short boat ride with a master seaman to this rustic establishment in the middle of the ocean.  This rustic wooden bar is built on a sand bank, a quarter of a mile out to sea, half way between Black River and Treasure Beach. You will be amazed by how much this little shack has to offer and what you see.

Voted best bar on earth by UK’s Daily Mail Newspaper, The Pelican Bar is the perfect place to get lost in relaxation and island vibe. If your lucky you can see the  dolphins and pelicans from the bar often times. Come sunbathe, drink  some cold Red Stripe beers, Appleton Rum,swim in the shallow waters,snorkel, lay back in a hammock ,eat some fresh  fish or lobster or just bring along your fishing gear to catch your own dinner!

    I really enjoyed our trip to Jamaica thanks to Jamaica Getaway Travels. The agents and driver were professional and suggested great tours. Floyds pelican bar was the best experience ever. Will definitely go again.

    We used Jamaica get away travel for our airport transfers and for a trip to Floyds Pelican bar on our recent Jamaica vacation. We were lucky to have Levar Irving pick us up on our arrival and largely because of him our Jamaica adventure started. On our way to the hotel, he pulled over to a roadside jerk shack for a little jerk and Appleton rum to start our trip. Very authentic and greatly appreciated. For our excursion to Floyds Pelican Bar we requested Levar and spent the entire day with him on this adventure. I highly recommend visiting Floyds but want to stress that the excursion price does not include the boat ride from shore to the bar. Luckily we found Sherienes and Levar was able to negotiate a $25. Round trip price. The ride over was beautiful and the bar did not disappoint. Floyd met us as we climbed onto the bar and quickly took our order for food and drinks. We were pleasantly surprised we were able to get food since we had not pre ordered. Here is my second caution – the price per plate of food was $20 and each beer $4. We hadn’t real,y anticipated that cost but the food was worth it. Plus you are supporting a true Jamaican business – no foreign ownership here so you are doing a good thing. This is just merely to tell you to have enough cash on you for a boat ride, drinks and food. The drive from Montego Bay to Pelican bar is quite long and you are in the country for a good portion – so bumpy roads and twists and turns – beautiful but it does take a full day. Although we didn’t expend much energy we were exhausted upon our return. Levar took us back to Ricks bar in Negril – a great stop and the drinks were good with beautiful views. If you are going to Jamaica – use Jamaica getaway travel and ask for Levar Irving.

I enjoyed every minute and to be honest the cost is affordable and it was easy for me to make a decision to travel. When you make plans to travel and you find great services from Jamaica Gataway travels it makes such an easy choice for any traveller who wants to visit Jamaica. What i loved the most is the kindness and how well i was treated when i arrived at Pelican Bar Treasure Beach, the workers did amazing job to welcome us and makes us feel comfortable.     Here is definitely wonderful. This is Black River however by Parrottee. Nice clear water, shallow too where there are sections the water is below your knee, can see wildlife from dolphins and so on here, can see the fishermen spearfishing for fresh catch to cook here at the coolest bar, catamarans, jet skis, canoes, kayas come by here. Nice place to drink, eat, vibe, swim, listen music and play dominoes…
