Nestled on the north central coast of Jamaica, overlooking Ocho Rios, is the Enchanted Gardens. This wondrous property was formally owned by Jamaica’s 5th Prime Minister, Honorable Edward Seaga and was built in 1991. Take your time exploring nature’s jungle pathway that meanders through breath-taking beauty, which features many species of plants, a koi pond with different species of Japanese koi and a lily pond .
Amidst this botanical beauty is an array of over 80 different species of exotic birds. Have fun with the birds and your guide may even give you a handful of feed to hold so that the birds fly down to eat from your hands and be pet. To top it off meet “Scotty” the friendly Macaw,hear “Mandela” the feisty parrot, and “Lori’s” imitations of ambulance sirens and catcalls.
Savor these unforgettable picturesque memories with a drink at Enchanted Garden’s swim up pool bar. Also sample some real Jamaican jerk pork and chicken seasoned to the bone with natural herbs and spices from an outdoor grill. Have a relaxing time in the garden and have fun watching or playing your favorite sport or game. Then test your bargaining skills at the local gift shops.
